The Hurried Man

The Hurried Man (original title L'Homme pressé) is a 1977 French-Italian drama directed by Édouard Molinaro. Adapted by Christopher Frank from Paul Morand's 1941 novel of the same name, it stars Alain Delon and Mireille Darc.

The story centres on an antiques dealer who lives at a relentless pace, always rushing from one task to the next and never pausing to slow down. His inability to stop shapes every part of his existence, from his professional dealings to his personal relationships, revealing the toll that a life spent in perpetual haste can take on a man and those around him. Shot in French, the film ran about 91 minutes and drew roughly 730,000 admissions during its theatrical release in France. It also circulated internationally under titles such as Man in a Hurry in English-speaking markets and Der Antiquitätenjäger in Germany.
