Dracula and Son
Dracula and Son (original title: Dracula père et fils) is a 1976 French horror comedy directed by Édouard Molinaro. Adapted from Claude Klotz's novel Paris Vampire, it works as a parody of vampire films rather than a straight horror picture. In the story, Count Dracula and his son Ferdinand are driven into exile by angry Transylvanian villagers. The father settles in London while the son makes his home in Paris. The two are eventually reunited when they discover they are both attracted to the same young woman, which sparks a comic rivalry between them. Christopher Lee plays the Count, with Bernard Menez as his son; this marked the ninth and final time Lee portrayed Dracula on screen. The supporting cast includes Marie-Hélène Breillat, her sister Catherine Breillat, Gérard Jugnot and Jean-Claude Dauphin.
