Ümit Kantarcılar — Biography

Ümit İbrahim Kantarcılar is a Turkish television and theatre actor born on October 10, 1987 in Antalya.

Kantarcılar began acting in school theatre, performed on the stage of the Antalya municipal theatre and won an award there with a musical play. After studying acting at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center, he worked at the Ali Poyrazoğlu Theatre.

He stepped into television in 2006 with a small role in the series İki Aile and went on to appear in series such as Hayat Türküsü, Küçük Sırlar, Pis Yedili, Babalar ve Evlatlar, Şehrin Melekleri and Rengarenk; in 2017 he played the character Onur in ATV's Kanatsız Kuşlar. In 2019 he appeared in the film Dert Bende.

In 2021 he appeared before audiences as Civan in Kazara Aşk and as Ulcay in Kuruluş Osman; in 2025 he left the series Bir Zamanlar İstanbul, in which he had been acting.
