Yeliz Akkaya — Biography

Yeliz Akkaya was born on 6 December 1981 in Istanbul. She graduated from Göztepe High School and then from the Theatre Department of the Müjdat Gezen Culture and Art Center.

She began acting in 2002 with the series Hızma, and after Melek and Azize became known for playing Esra in Yabancı Damat; she also drew attention as Melek in Binbir Gece. She appeared in the series Aşk Üçgeni, Karadağlar, Küçük Hanımefendi, Farklı Desenler, Vicdan, Kalbim Ege'de Kaldı and Hayat Sevince Güzel, as well as the films O Kadın, Meryem and Geçmiş.

In 2017 she played Hatice Bayat in the series Savaşçı, and in 2022 she played Suna in Duy Beni and Suzan in Son Nefesime Kadar. She is married to Dream TV presenter Emre Fakıoğlu.
