Güneydoğudan Öyküler Önce Vatan (Güneydoğudan Öyküler)
Güneydoğudan Öyküler is a Turkish drama and war television series broadcast on Show TV in 2010, adapted for the screen from Hakan Evrensel's book of the same name.
Produced by Fida Film and directed by Onur Tan, the series was shot in Istanbul, where the Şırnak Military Hospital was rebuilt as a set so that the daily realities of military service in Turkey's southeast and the human stories of the region could be portrayed convincingly.
The cast was led by Melisa Sözen, Serhat Tutumluer, and Umut Kurt, with Sezai Aydın, İlker Kızmaz, Arsen Gürzap, Yeliz Akkaya, and Nihan Okutucu also appearing. The show was taken off the air after eleven episodes.
