Anta Toros — Biography
Anta Toros, born Antaram Keşiş (12 January 1948, Istanbul – 30 August 2025, Muğla), was an Armenian-Turkish stage and screen actress. She began her professional career in 1971 with the Gülriz Sururi–Engin Cezzar Theatre, later performing with the Ali Poyrazoğlu and Nisa Serezli–Tolga Aşkıner companies and pursuing theater work in the United States.
Over a career spanning more than six decades, she appeared in over forty-five television series and films, most often cast as tough or villainous characters. She was widely remembered for roles in productions such as Kara Melek, Çocuklar Duymasın, Acı Hayat, Yarım Elma, and Nizama Adanmış Ruhlar. She was married to Misak Toros.
Anta Toros died in Muğla on 30 August 2025, with many figures from the Turkish arts world paying tribute to her afterward.
