Beyazıt Öztürk — Biography

Beyazıt Öztürk was born on 12 March 1969 in Bolu. He graduated from the Department of Ceramics and Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Eskişehir Anadolu University. He was introduced to radio during his student years; he became known through the signature 'Beyaz' he used on the cartoons in the humorous magazine Gına, which he published together with a friend. He moved to Istanbul after receiving an offer from Radyo Klas and took his first step into professional broadcasting. Hosting Beyaz Show for 22 years from 1996 to 2018 brought him nationwide fame; during this period he also performed stand-up shows on stage. In 2018 he served as a jury member on O Ses Türkiye. More recently he has hosted the program Beyaz'la Joker on Kanal D. As an actor he appeared in the films Nihavend Mucize, Dansöz, Hacivat Karagöz Neden Öldürüldü?, O Şimdi Mahkum, Sır Çocukları, Nadide Hayat and Eyvah Eyvah 2, and in series such as Yalan Dünya, Jet Sosyete, Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu and Karım ve Annem.
