Nihal Yalçın — Biography

Nihal Yalçın was born on 29 March 1981 in Istanbul. Her family had moved to Istanbul from the Dersim district of Tunceli before she was born. She graduated from the Acting Department of the Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2004, earned a master's degree in Advanced Acting at Bahçeşehir University and also did dubbing work. She had her first on-camera experience as Zeyno Bacı in the 2005 film Hacivat Karagöz Neden Öldürüldü?, and went on to appear in series such as Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, Şöhret Okulu, Avrupa Yakası, Güldünya and Kış Masalı. She gained real recognition in 2012 with the character Açılay in the series Yalan Dünya. Yalçın has acted in films such as Araf, Berlin Kaplanı, Kurtuluş Son Durak, Yeraltı and Yol Ayrımı, appeared in the series Beş Kardeş, İstanbullu Gelin, Kırmızı Oda and Oğlum, and in 2025 she portrayed Berfin in the series Sakıncalı.
