Nihavend Miracle (Nihavend Mucize) (translated)

Nihavend Miracle is a 1997 Turkish fantasy comedy directed by Atıf Yılmaz from a screenplay by Zeynep Avcı, starring Türkân Şoray, Haluk Bilginer, Lale Mansur and Beyazıt Öztürk.

The story centres on Erol, who runs a film studio with his partner Nejat. Since his mother's death twenty-five years earlier, Erol has grown detached from life: his relationship with his girlfriend İris is faltering, and he remains estranged from the father he blames for her loss. Unable to ignore her son's despair, Suzan returns to the world at the very age she died. The life she finds is utterly different from the one she left, and she struggles to adjust until Nejat's interest and support help her find her footing. While trying to mend Erol's bond with İris and his father and to bring order to his life, Suzan also finds herself responding to the growing affection of Nejat, who is captivated by her.

Some scenes criticised during festival screenings were cut by the director before the theatrical release, and the film later opened in Germany in 1998.
