Fatma Toptaş — Biography

Born in Mersin, Fatma Toptaş spent part of her childhood in Germany, in the town of Meschede in the Sauerland region, returning to Turkey with her family at the age of 13. She trained in the theatre department of the Müjdat Gezen Art Center and began her career with guest roles in several series in 2007.

She reached a wide audience in 2008 playing the lead's childhood sweetheart in Recep İvedik, and the same year took a village-beauty role in Avanak Kuzenler. She went on to appear in numerous series, playing Serpil in Cesur Hemşire, then Sibel Korkmaz in Kiraz Mevsimi and Nilüfer Yorulmaz in No:309. Around the time she played Cansu Akman in Bay Yanlış in 2020, she became engaged to chef Gürkan Topçu, a longtime partner; after their wedding was postponed more than once, the couple separated in 2023.

More recently she has played Nesrin in the film Annem and Seçil in its television continuation, Annem Ankara, continuing to be known for her easygoing comedy and romantic-comedy roles.
