Fatma Toptaş — Biography

Fatma Toptaş was born on November 25, 1982, in Mersin, Turkey. Having spent part of her childhood in Germany before moving to Turkey at the age of 13, she trained at the theater department of the Müjdat Gezen Art Center.

She appeared in guest roles in the series Bıçak Sırtı, Doktorlar, and Çok Özel Tim in 2007, then became widely known in 2008 for playing Sibel in the film Recep İvedik, followed that same year by the role of Melike in Avanak Kuzenler. She went on to appear in productions such as Çocuklar Duymasın, Herkes mi Aldatır?, Hayat Devam Ediyor, Başrolde Aşk, Ya Sonra, Gölgedekiler, and Cesur Hemşire.

She returned to the spotlight with her portrayal of Sibel Korkmaz in Kiraz Mevsimi, which began in 2014, the same year she appeared in the film Vay Başıma Gelenler 2,5. In 2016 she played Nilüfer Yorulmaz in the series No:309, and in 2020 she portrayed Cansu Akman in Bay Yanlış. Known for her easygoing style in comedy and romantic comedy roles, Toptaş continues to bring her theater background to her film and television work.
