Nilay Erdönmez — Biography
Nilay Erdönmez was born on 12 May 1986 in Istanbul. After graduating from the Theatre Department of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory, she completed a master's degree at the same institution and has performed in various subsidized and private theatres since 2006.
She won the Best Actress award at the Adana Golden Boll International Film Festival for her role as Seher in the 2012 film Gözetleme Kulesi, and later reached wide audiences as Asiye in the Star TV series İstanbullu Gelin, following earlier roles in Bir Zamanlar Osmanlı Kıyam and Sevdaluk. She went on to appear in Mezarcı and Hizmetçiler, and more recently in Gülcemal and Şahmaran.
Alongside acting, Erdönmez has also worked as a director, staging the digital theatre production "Kadının Sözü Var" in 2022.
