Çete

Çete is a 1950 Turkish film adapted from the novel of the same name by Refik Halit Karay. Written and directed by Çetin Karamanbey, it sets its story in İstanbul under occupation. At its heart lie the love that grows between the Russian princess Nina and Kıran Bey, and the struggle waged against the occupying forces by the band of men around Kıran Bey. The film marked the screen debut of Neriman Köksal, who plays Nina. The cast also features Hulusi Kentmen and Ahmet Danyal Topatan.
