Home Coming (Eve Dönüş)

Home Coming (Eve Dönüş) is a 2006 Greek-Turkish drama film written and directed by Ömer Uğur. Set in Istanbul, it portrays the tragedies endured by ordinary people during the aftermath of the September 12, 1980 military coup in Turkey. At its center is Mustafa, a worker with no political ties who falls victim to a false denunciation stemming from a dispute with his landlord. Held in custody for days on the charge of belonging to an organization, he is subjected to severe torture. Through this innocent man's ordeal, the film lays bare the brutal reality of torture in the coup era.

Starring Memet Ali Alabora and Sibel Kekilli, the cast also features Altan Erkekli, Savaş Dinçel, Erdal Tosun, Civan Canova, Cengiz Küçükayvaz, Perihan Savaş, and Can Kolukısa. The 101-minute film was released in Türkiye on November 3, 2006.
