Heart Thief (Gönül Hırsızı) (translated)

Gönül Hırsızı is a 1971 Turkish feature film written and directed by Arşavir Alyanak. Blending comedy and drama, it was produced by Pesen Film and Hür Film, runs 74 minutes, and was released in March 1972. The score was composed by Norayr Demirci, with cinematography by Menasi Filmeridis.

The story follows Fuat (Ediz Hun), who takes pity on Huriye (Feri Cansel), a young and beautiful thief hiding in his car, and brings her home hoping to lead her toward an honest life. Yet Huriye returns to the gang that raised her, giving them the information they need to rob Fuat's house, and even re-enters his life as part of the scheme. Unaware of everything, Fuat welcomes her again, but chaos erupts when his long-time fiancée discovers the truth. The cast also includes Münir Özkul and Ali Şen.
