The Izmir Gang (İzmir Çetesi) (translated)

Izmir Gang is a Turkish comedy series that aired on Star TV in 2011. Produced by Pastel Film and directed by Murat Şeker, the series ran for 16 episodes. The main roles were played by Kadir İnanır, Kenan Ece, and Mustafa Üstündağ; the cast also included Erkan Sever, Oya Unustası, Selin Şekerci, and Tansu Taşanlar.

The series' story revolves around Cemal, a character who is swindled in a fake house sale. When the con artist Selami feels remorse and apologizes, events take a different turn, leading to the formation of a gang that swindles hardened criminals and distributes the money they obtain to the poor. The unique atmosphere of Izmir is also incorporated into the story through the passion felt for the city's established football teams, Bucaspor and Altay.
