Ant Trap (Karınca Kapanı)

Ant Trap (Karınca Kapanı) is a Turkish thriller-crime film released in 2014. It marks the directorial debut of acclaimed actor Fırat Tanış, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Cüneyt Uzunlar and took on one of the leading roles.

The story centers on Güven Sarıselimoğlu, the owner of one of the country's biggest holding companies, with investments in construction and many other sectors. Güven keeps his wife Münevver under constant watch, and she, unhappy in her marriage, looks for a way out of this oppressive life. To free herself and take revenge on her husband, she turns to a mafia boss named Galip. Galip devises a plan no one could foresee, and once it is set in motion, the reckoning among these three trapped individuals grows into a conflict with consequences for the entire country.

Cüneyt Uzunlar portrays Güven, Neslihan Yeldan plays Münevver, and Fırat Tanış appears as the mob boss Galip. The supporting cast includes Eşref Kolçak, Emre Kınay, Bahtiyar Engin, İdil Vural and Mesut Yar. Running about 100 minutes, the film offers its own take on the crime and thriller genres.
