Magic Village

Magic Village (French: Le Village magique; Italian: Vacanze d'amore) is a 1955 French-Italian comedy directed by Jean-Paul Le Chanois. Robert Lamoureux and Lucia Bosè lead the cast, which also includes Judith Magre, Delia Scala, Walter Chiari and Domenico Modugno.

The picture takes its inspiration from the 'magic villages' founded in 1950 for the female readers of Elle magazine, holiday colonies that later evolved into Club Med. Its story unfolds in one such seaside resort, with location filming carried out around Cefalù, near Palermo in Sicily. Against this sunny Mediterranean backdrop, the film follows the lighthearted romantic entanglements and comic mishaps of the holidaymakers who gather there.

The screenplay was written by Vitaliano Brancati, Vittorio De Seta and Le Chanois himself, and the production runs about 93 minutes.
