The Letter (Mektup) (translated)

Mektup (The Letter) is a 1997 Turkish drama directed by Ali Özgentürk. Tarık Akan takes the lead role, with Başak Köklükaya, Suna Selen and the veteran actor Necdet Mahfi Ayral among the cast. Continuing Özgentürk's poetic style of storytelling, the film is regarded as one of the works of Turkish art-house cinema of the 1990s.
