Hamam (Italian: Il bagno turco) is a 1997 drama directed by Ferzan Özpetek, marking his feature film debut. An Italian-Turkish-Spanish co-production running 94 minutes, it was released on 24 October 1997 and won awards at the Antalya Film Festival. Written by Özpetek together with Stefano Tummolini, the film explores the profound transformations that certain places and the lives lived within them can trigger in people's inner worlds.

Francesco and Marta are a married couple running a small design firm in Rome, but their marriage is slowly falling apart. When Francesco learns that his long-forgotten aunt Anita has died in Istanbul and left him a traditional bathhouse, he travels there to arrange its sale. After meeting the family who runs the hamam and feeling drawn to a young man named Mehmet, he decides not to sell. Alessandro Gassman and Francesca d'Aloja star alongside Halil Ergün, Şerif Sezer, Mehmet Günsür and Başak Köklükaya.
