Hatred (Nefret) (translated)

Nefret ("Hatred") is a 1984 Turkish drama film written and directed by Osman Fahir Seden and produced by Kadri Yurdatap. The picture was made by Mine Film, with Orhan Oğuz serving as director of photography.

The story centers on a troubled mother-daughter relationship. After discovering that her husband Metin has been unfaithful, Fatma divorces him; their only daughter Hülya blames her mother for the split and drifts into nightlife, drinking, and drugs. When Fatma begins a relationship with businessman Fikret, Hülya sets out to take revenge on her mother.

The film stars Fatma Girik, Hülya Avşar, Bulut Aras, and Metin Serezli, with a supporting cast that includes Nubar Terziyan and Reha Yurdakul.
