Oil Kings (Petrol Kralları) (translated)

Petrol Kralları (“Oil Kings”) is a Turkish comedy released in 1978. Zeki Alasya both directed the picture and wrote its screenplay, while Kenan Kurt served as cinematographer on the colour production. Made under the Erman Film banner, it runs for roughly 89 minutes.

The leads are shared by Zeki Alasya and Metin Akpınar, the comic partnership that dominated Turkish screen comedy through the 1970s. They are joined by a familiar supporting line-up of Suna Yıldızoğlu, Perran Kutman, Ali Şen and Mine Sun.

One of the many films the stage-trained Alasya-Akpınar duo made together, it carries on the double-act banter and character comedy that made their collaborations a fixture of the period.
