Zeyno Eracar — Biography

Born Zeynep Eracar in Istanbul on 5 December 1970, she trained in the Theatre Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's State Conservatory. Her career started with a long run of stage plays before she moved to the screen in 1994 in Kaygısızlar. Over the next decade she built up a run of credits that included Zerda, Çiçek Taksi, 24 Saat, İki Aile and Naciye'yi Kim Sevmez, and in the latter half of the 2000s she was cast in Cesaretin Var Mı Aşka, Kollama, Fesuphanallah and Hakkını Helal Et. She took the part of Neriman in Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki, then appeared in Bana Artık Hicran De and Zeyrek İle Çeyrek Rimolar Ve Zimolar, before reaching her widest audience as Fehime in Kara Sevda. She later played Zümrüt in Benim Adım Melek and, from 2021, İnci's mother in Yargı; alongside acting she has lent her voice to many foreign productions dubbed into Turkish.
