Zerda

Zerda is a Turkish drama series broadcast on atv between 2002 and 2004, notable as the first television series produced by TMC. Running for two seasons and ending with its 68th episode, the show attracted strong interest, reached record ratings during its original run and was repeated in 2004.

The series starred Yavuz Bingöl, Ece Uslu, Güven Hokna and Burak Sergen; after Bingöl left in the second season, Halit Ergenç joined as the male lead from episode 42 in the role of Devran. Zerda is remembered for its slogan about love: when two people love each other and unite it is happiness, but when they cannot be together it becomes a legend. The writing team included Gaye Boralıoğlu, Neşe Şen and Neşe Cehiz, while the extended cast featured Derya Artemel, İdil Fırat and Zeyno Eracar.
