Çağatay Ulusoy — Biography

Çağatay Ulusoy was born on 23 September 1990 in Istanbul to a Bosniak mother and a father whose family had immigrated from Bulgaria. While studying landscape design at Istanbul University he was named Best Model of Turkey in 2010, then trained in acting under Ayla Algan and at Akademi 35 Buçuk; he acquired Bulgarian citizenship in 2025.

He debuted in 2011 as Emir Sarrafoğlu in Adını Feriha Koydum and made his film debut the same year in Anadolu Kartalları. He gained wide fame as Yaman Koper in Medcezir (2013-2015), a Turkish remake of The O.C. In 2013 he was among thirty actors taken into custody in a drug investigation, a case a higher court overturned in 2018. In 2016 he shared the lead in İçerde with Aras Bulut İynemli, and from 2018 to 2020 he headlined Hakan: Muhafız, the first Turkish Netflix original series, as Hakan Demir.

He later led the film Kağıttan Hayatlar and the series Terzi; in 2024 he appeared in Kübra, Tam Bir Centilmen and Gaddar, followed by Eşref Rüya and Uykucu in 2025. His honors include a Golden Butterfly Award.
