Fahriye Evcen — Biography

Born on June 4, 1986, in Solingen, Germany, Fahriye Evcen is a film and television actress who holds both Turkish and German citizenship. She lived in Germany until university age, began studying sociology at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, and put her studies on hold after receiving television offers, moving to Turkey and later graduating from Boğaziçi University's History Department.

She achieved her big breakthrough in 2006, playing Necla Tekin in Yaprak Dökümü, an adaptation of a Reşat Nuri Güntekin novel. In 2013 she played Feride in another Güntekin classic, Çalıkuşu, appeared in Kurt Seyit ve Şura, portrayed Selvi Nardan in the 2017 series Ölene Kadar, and starred in Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu in 2021. On the big screen, she followed her 2007 debut in Cennet with roles in Aşk Tutulması (2008), Sinyora Enrica ile İtalyan Olmak (2010), Evim Sensin (2012, as Leyla), Aşk Sana Benzer (2015, as Deniz), and Sonsuz Aşk (2017, as Zeynep).

Married to fellow actor Burak Özçivit and a mother, Evcen returned to television in the summer of 2026 after a five-year break, taking a role alongside Oktay Kaynarca.
