Gülçin Hatıhan — Biography

Gülçin Hatıhan (born December 21, 1972, in Istanbul) is a Turkish theatre and television actress. She trained at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center, lived in New York for ten years and performed on Broadway. She has also served as head of the Theatre Executive Board of the Bakırköy Artists Association.

She made her screen debut in 1994 with Kaygısızlar; after productions such as Çılgın Bediş (1998) and Çocuklar Duymasın (2002), she appeared in the series Bir Günah Gibi (2011) and Hıyanet Sarmalı (2013). Her role as Ümran in Poyraz Karayel (2015) made her unforgettable, and Handan Şadoğlu in Hercai (2019) brought her to wide audiences. In recent years she played Canan Atabey in Gül Masalı (2022) and Şahinde Gediz in Bambaşka Biri (2023), and appeared in Kara Ağaç Destanı (2024); in a career spanning over thirty years, she continues her stage work as well.
