Hülya Gülşen Irmak — Biography

Hülya Gülşen Irmak is a Turkish theatre, film and television actress born on September 14, 1965 in Ankara. At the age of only 13, she entered the Ankara State Conservatory through a special examination; in 1984 she joined the State Theatres and performed on stage with this institution for 28 years. Alongside acting, she also worked in dubbing, teaching and acting coaching.

She made her television debut in 1993 with the role of Müjgan in the series Ferhunde Hanımlar. After series such as Bizim Evin Halleri, Keşanlı Ali Destanı, Galip Derviş, Çalıkuşu (2013), Kırgın Çiçekler and Asla Vazgeçmem, she appeared in EGO (2023) and Hudutsuz Sevda (2023). In cinema she took roles in the films Unutursam Fısılda (2014), Hadi İnşallah (2014), Sen Benim Herşeyimsin (2016), Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever 2 (2020) and Özel Ders (2022). Her daughter Naz Çağla Irmak is also an actress like her.
