Hülya Gülşen Irmak — Biography

Born in Ankara, Hülya Gülşen Irmak entered the Ankara State Conservatory through a special examination at just 13 years old, and when the school was affiliated with Hacettepe University she completed both the conservatory and high school externally. After roles in several private theatres, she joined the State Theatres in 1984 and performed there for 28 years, also working in dubbing, teaching and acting coaching alongside her stage career.

She made her television debut in 1993 as Müjgan in Ferhunde Hanımlar. Following series such as Bizim Evin Halleri, Keşanlı Ali Destanı, Galip Derviş, Çalıkuşu (2013), Kırgın Çiçekler and Asla Vazgeçmem, she appeared in EGO and Hudutsuz Sevda (2023). Her film credits include Unutursam Fısılda, Hadi İnşallah, Sen Benim Herşeyimsin, Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever 2 and Özel Ders.

Her daughter Naz Çağla Irmak also works as an actress, and the two appeared together in Kırgın Çiçekler.
