Lars Bloch — Biography
Lars Bloch was born on 6 August 1938 in Hellerup, Denmark, and died on 27 March 2022 in Rome; he worked at times under the alternate names Lars Block and Carlos Ewing.
After naval military service, he settled in Italy, where from the late 1950s he built a highly active career playing character roles, becoming known chiefly for villains.
His credits include My Name Is Shanghai Joe, Trinity and Sartana Are Coming and Emanuelle in America.
He largely stepped back from acting in the 1980s and went on to run a DVD label bringing Italian cinema, especially Spaghetti Westerns, to the Japanese market.
