Neriman Uğur — Biography

Neriman Uğur was born on 16 June 1958 in Muğla. A graduate of the Acting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University, she is a seasoned actress known for her work in theatre, cinema, television and voice acting. She first appeared before television audiences in 1999 with the character Gülsüm in the series Yılan Hikayesi.

Throughout her career she has appeared in many series such as Kırık Ayna, Kader, Parmaklıklar Ardında (2006), Deniz Yıldızı (2009) and Huzur Sokağı, and in 2008 she played Melda Hoca in the film Son Ders: Aşk ve Üniversite. In 2017 she gave life to the character Canan in Siyah İnci; in later years she also took guest roles in popular productions such as Yargı and Yasak Elma. Never leaving the theatre stage, Uğur has earned the appreciation of generations of viewers with her masterful acting.
