Ordeal (Ateşten Gömlek) (translated)
Ateşten Gömlek is a 1950 black-and-white Turkish film adapted from Halide Edib Adıvar's novel of the same name. Vedat Örfi Bengü both directed the film and wrote its screenplay.
Belonging to the war and drama genres, it is one of the early literary adaptations dealing with the Turkish War of Independence. Yoakim Filmerides served as cinematographer, Şerif Gürmeriç composed the music, and Kale Film handled production.
