The Shirt of Flame (Ateşten Gömlek) (translated)

Ateşten Gömlek (Ordeal) is a 1950 black-and-white Turkish film adapted from Halide Edib Adıvar's novel of the same name. It is counted as a war and drama film, and it is a novel adaptation about the Turkish War of Independence. Vedat Örfi Bengü both wrote the screenplay and directed.

Kale Film produced it, Yoakim Filmerides was the cinematographer and Şerif Gürmeriç handled the music. Besides Bengü, the cast includes Refik Kemal Arduman, Ayten Kayalı, Ülkü Bengü, Ali Küçük, Necmi Oy, Fethi Tanatmış, Renan Fosforoğlu, Kemal Tanrıöver, Cemil Demirel and Refet Gülerman.
