The Lords' Wedding Is Something Else (Başka Olur Ağaların Düğünü) (translated)

Başka Olur Ağaların Düğünü is a Turkish romantic television drama that aired on TRT 1 in 1990, adapted from a work by Kemal Bilbaşar and directed by Fatih Arslan. Set in an Anatolian village, it portrays a romance caught in the grip of the local agha system.

Osman Ağa and Hüseyin Ağa are the village's wealthiest men. Intent on expanding his fortune, Hüseyin Ağa schemes to marry Osman's daughter Menekşe to his own son Tahir. Menekşe, however, is in love with Murat, the village doctor, which sets the aghas' calculations against the young couple's feelings.

Mehmet Aslantuğ appears as Doctor Murat and Seren Serengil as Menekşe, while Erol Taş plays Hüseyin Ağa and Hüseyin Baradan plays Osman Ağa. The supporting ensemble includes Salih Kalyon, Nesrin Akkoç and Toygun Ateş.
