The Extremely Tragic Story of Celal Tan and His Family is a 2011 Turkish dark comedy-drama film written and directed by Onur Ünlü. It tells the story of Celal Tan, a respected professor of constitutional law who lives with his family in the provinces.

Years after losing his first wife, the professor marries a much younger university student whose life he once saved, but this marriage sends his life on an unexpected downward turn. Selçuk Yöntem plays the widowed professor, joined by Cengiz Bozkurt, Ezgi Mola and Güler Ökten. The film premiered at the 18th International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival in September 2011, where it was honored with both the Best Film and Best Screenplay awards, making it one of the festival's standout entries that year.
