İbo and Güllüşah (İbo ile Güllüşah) (translated)
İbo ile Güllüşah is a 1977 Turkish comedy film directed by Atıf Yılmaz, from a screenplay co-written by Deniz Türkali and İhsan Bilsev. Produced by Gülşah Film and running 88 minutes, it stars Kemal Sunal as İbo and Gülşah Soydan as little Güllüşah, with Ayşen Gruda and Celile Toyon also in the cast.
İbo cannot marry his beloved Nazlı because he cannot pay the bride price her father demands; when they run away together and are caught, he ends up in prison because Nazlı's registered age is underage. Upon release he travels to Istanbul, where he befriends Güllüşah, the young daughter of a wealthy family who craves the attention her parents never give. Their warm friendship leads the girl to do everything she can to reunite İbo with his love, setting off an unexpected chain of events.
