Şaban Askerde (Şaban in the Army) is a Turkish comedy television series that aired on Star TV between 1993 and 1994. Written by Oğuz Yalçın and directed by Orhan Oğuz, the series features the legendary Turkish comedy actor Kemal Sunal in the title role of Şaban, supported by a cast including Bahtiyar Engin, Ece Uslu and Özge Özberk.

Built around a humorous take on military life, the show stands out as one of Kemal Sunal's ventures into television. However, it suffered from unfortunate competition during its original run: rival channels broadcast Sunal's classic films in the same time slot, which kept the new series' ratings low.
