For Love and Honor (Kabadayı)

Kabadayı (released in English as For Love and Honor) is a 2007 Turkish film directed by Ömer Vargı from a screenplay by Yavuz Turgul. Blending action, drama and crime elements, it opened nationwide in Turkey on 14 December 2007 and became the highest-grossing Turkish film of that year.

The story centers on Ali Osman, an old-school neighborhood tough whose personal code of ethics sets him apart in the underworld, where he is known for defending the downtrodden. When he learns that he has a son, he is forced to protect Murat and his girlfriend, the singer Karaca, from Devran, a young, ambitious gangster hungry for power. The clash between these opposing figures ignites a new war in the criminal milieu. Şener Şen and Kenan İmirzalıoğlu share the lead roles, supported by İsmail Hacıoğlu, Aslı Tandoğan and Rasim Öztekin.
