Evidence (Kanıt) (translated)

Kanıt ("Evidence") is a Turkish crime series produced by ANS Productions and broadcast on Kanal D from 2010 to 2013. Directed by Cem Sürücü and Biray Dalkıran, it was written by Ahmet Saatçioğlu with Abdullah Oğuz as producer. Spanning three seasons, the series ended with its 100th episode on 3 February 2013, and reruns later aired on Teve2.

Departing from the classic detective formula, the show follows Chief Inspector Orhan and Inspector Selim of the Istanbul homicide unit as they tackle a new murder each episode, aided by crime scene, criminology laboratory and autopsy experts who evaluate the evidence. Forensic science expert Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy serves as narrator, interrupting the story to explain the detectives' methods; her motto is "There is no perfect murder." The stories are said to be partially inspired by true events.
