Carthage in Flames, originally titled Cartagine in fiamme, is an Italian-French co-production peplum directed by Carmine Gallone, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ennio de Concini and Duccio Tessari. Adapted from Emilio Salgari's 1908 novel of the same name, the film was produced by Lux Film in Italian and shot at the Cinecittà Studios in Rome, with sets designed by art director Guido Fiorini.

Set during the Third Punic War, the story presents a historical drama centered on the Roman siege and destruction of ancient Carthage. The cast features prominent performers of the era, including Pierre Brasseur, José Suárez, Daniel Gélin, Anne Heywood, and Ilaria Occhini. Running roughly 93 minutes, the film is regarded as a characteristic example of the sword-and-sandal genre that flourished in Italian cinema of the period.
