Cosmos (Kosmos)

Kosmos is a Turkish-Bulgarian drama film written and directed by Reha Erdem and produced by Atlantik Film. Shot in Kars, it follows Kosmos, a peculiar traveler who arrives weeping in a timeless, snowbound border town. After reviving a half-drowned boy in the river, he is embraced by the townspeople as a miracle worker, though he is no ordinary man: he is never seen sleeping, feeds on lumps of sugar, and can perch like a bird on the thinnest tree branches.

Openly declaring that he is searching for love, Kosmos forms a strange bond with Neptün, the sister of the boy he saved. While the sick and desperate flock to him for healing, a series of shop robberies and misfortunes gradually turns the town against him. Sermet Yeşil stars as Kosmos and Türkü Turan as Neptün, alongside Serkan Keskin, Saygın Soysal and Nadir Sarıbacak. The 122-minute film opened across Turkey on April 16, 2010.
