Confidentially Yours (Neşeli Pazar)

Confidentially Yours (Vivement dimanche !) is a 1983 French comedy mystery directed by François Truffaut, and the last film he made before his death in 1984. Adapted by Truffaut and Suzanne Schiffman from Charles Williams's 1962 American novel The Long Saturday Night, it was deliberately shot in black and white to evoke the atmosphere of 1940s and 1950s American film noir, and stands as a tribute to Alfred Hitchcock.

In the story, estate agent Julien Vercel (Jean-Louis Trintignant), suspected of murdering his wife and her lover, hides in his office while his resourceful secretary Barbara Becker (Fanny Ardant) — secretly in love with him — investigates the crimes on her own to clear his name. The film earned a BAFTA nomination for best foreign-language film, while Truffaut and Ardant received César nominations.
