The Princess's Sleep (Prensesin Uykusu) (translated)

Prensesin Uykusu (Sleeping Princess) is a 2010 Turkish comedy-drama film written and directed by Çağan Irmak. Irmak drew inspiration for the screenplay from the song "Prensesin Uykusuyum" on the band Redd's 2006 album Kirli Suyunda Parıltılar, and Redd also composed the film's music. Produced by Most Production and İmaj, the film began shooting in April 2010, mainly in the Halkalı and Yeşilköy districts of Istanbul.

The story follows Aziz, a librarian living a quiet life in his own little world, whose routine is brightened when hairdresser Seçil and her 10-year-old daughter Gizem move into his apartment building. When the little girl falls into a long, mysterious sleep, the seemingly ordinary residents join forces to change fate. The film had its world premiere at the London Turkish Film Festival and was released across Turkey on November 19, 2010.
