A Long, Narrow Road (Uzun İnce Bir Yol) (translated)

Uzun İnce Bir Yol (A Long, Narrow Road) is a 1991 Turkish drama-fantasy film directed and written by Tunç Başaran. Produced by Magnum Film and running 73 minutes, it features music by Hasan Yükselir and cinematography by Ümit Gülsoy. Tarık Akan stars as Müşfik, with Taner Barlas playing Azrael.

The story follows Müşfik, who returns to Turkey from abroad with his wife and child. After unknowingly causing an accident, he angers Azrael, the harbinger of death, who begins to pursue him, forcing Müşfik into a struggle for his life. Taking its title from a well-known verse describing life as a long journey, the film treats the boundary between life and death through an allegorical lens.
