Meriç Aral — Biography

Zeynep Meriç Aral is a Turkish actress born in Istanbul; her date of birth is usually given as 17 November 1988, and in some sources as 1 July 1990. The daughter of a family of lawyers, she graduated from the Faculty of Law at İstanbul Bilgi University with a minor in comparative literature. After completing her legal internship she chose film over law, worked briefly as a film assistant, and took acting classes at the Craft acting workshop and with Bahar Kerimoğlu.

Her first screen experience was the series Sultan in 2012, after she was invited to its test shoots. Wide recognition came with the role of Hale in Medcezir. She then appeared in Çağan Irmak's film Unutursam Fısılda, in Muska, Hesapta Aşk and Cingöz Recai: Bir Efsanenin Dönüşü, and on television in Yüksek Sosyete. From 2017 to 2019 she played Eylem Mercier in Star TV's Söz. Later work included the films Yanımda Kal and, in 2020, Biz Böyleyiz, along with Doctor Ayşe in Kırmızı Oda, Helin in Kaderimin Oyunu, Yakamoz S-245 and Irmak in Sandık Kokusu. She also hosts a podcast.

In September 2024 she married actor Serkan Keskin; their son Güneş was born in September 2025. In November 2025 she was taken from her home as part of a drug investigation, and spoke publicly about it days later.
