Annemi Arıyorum (I'm Looking for My Mother) is a 1959 black-and-white Turkish drama film written and directed by Faruk Kenç. Belgin (Belgin Doruk) lives in İzmir with her father and younger sister. Her mother has abandoned the family and run off to Istanbul with another man. The film follows Belgin's journey to Istanbul as she searches for her mother and tries to bring her back home. The cast also includes Mahir Özerdem, Halide Pişkin, Atıf Kaptan and Kadir Savun. Produced by Baki Üsküdarlı for Şan Film, with cinematography by Kazım Koşkan, the picture is a characteristic example of the family melodramas of its period in Turkish cinema.
