Days of Fire (Ateşten Günler) (translated)

Days of Fire is a historical Turkish television series adapted from Ateşten Gömlek, the celebrated novel by Halide Edib Adıvar set during the Turkish War of Independence. Broadcast on TRT 1 in 1987, the production was both directed and written for the screen by Ziya Öztan.

Bringing the era of the national struggle to television, the series featured a cast that included Zuhal Olcay, Can Gürzap and Mustafa Avkıran. Drawing on the novel's strong literary legacy, it stands as one of the notable literary adaptations produced for Turkish television in its period.
