Commitment (Bağlılık Aslı)

Commitment (Turkish: Bağlılık Aslı) is a 2019 Turkish drama film directed by Semih Kaplanoğlu. It is the first part of a trilogy planned by Kaplanoğlu and was released on 20 September 2019. The cast includes Kübra Kip, Umut Kurt and Evren Duyal.

The film follows Aslı, a young mother suffering from postpartum depression, who hires a nanny named Gülnihal—herself a new mother—so she can return to work. Their growing closeness soon forces Aslı to confront secrets she has long kept hidden. Commitment was selected as Turkey's entry for Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, though it did not receive a nomination.
