Ekmekçi Kadın

Ekmekçi Kadın, also known in English as The Bread Seller Woman, is a Turkish film released on 12 April 1965. It was directed by Zafer Davutoğlu, while Osman F. Seden, a leading figure of the Yeşilçam era, wrote the screenplay and produced it; Kenan Kurt served as director of photography. Made in black and white for Kemal Film, it is a drama with melodramatic leanings. Türkân Şoray, one of the best-known actresses of Turkish cinema, takes the lead, supported by İzzet Günay, Çolpan İlhan, Nubar Terziyan, Kadir Savun and Kenan Pars. Films under the same title were also made in Turkey in 1938 and 1972.
