Losers' Club (Kaybedenler Kulübü)

Losers' Club is a 2011 Turkish comedy-drama film directed by Tolga Örnek, who co-wrote the screenplay with Mehmet Ada Öztekin. The film is based on the cult radio show of the same name, broadcast on Kent FM between 1996 and 2001, and on the real lives of its hosts, Kaan Çaydamlı and Mete Avunduk. Released in Türkiye on March 25, 2011 with 137 prints, it opened at number two at the box office, drawing around 65,000 viewers in its first three days, and became one of the highest-grossing Turkish films of the year.

Set in mid-1990s Istanbul, the story follows Kaan, owner of an independent publishing house, and Mete, a record collector who runs a bar in Kadıköy. Their unconventional radio program, delivered like a casual conversation no one is supposed to hear, gradually unites listeners from across the city. Meanwhile, Kaan falls passionately in love with Zeynep, a woman he meets at the bar, despite their differing outlooks on life. Nejat İşler, Yiğit Özşener and Ahu Türkpençe star in the leading roles. A sequel, Kaybedenler Kulübü Yolda, directed by Mehmet Ada Öztekin, was released in 2018.
