Barış Bağcı — Biography

Barış Bağcı was born on May 27, 1975 in Karaman. After graduating from the Theatre Department of the State Conservatory of Selçuk University in Konya, he worked at the Trabzon State Theatre for about 15 years before continuing his career at the Istanbul State Theatre.

He first appeared on television in 2005 with the series Gümüş, went on to act in series such as Kırık Kanatlar, Yaprak Dökümü, Küçük Hanımefendi and Kara Kutu, and made his way into cinema with the films Nefes: Vatan Sağolsun and Kaybedenler Kulübü. Between 2015 and 2018 he gained wide fame portraying the Mongol commander Baycu Noyan in the TRT 1 series Diriliş Ertuğrul.

He played Chief Inspector Barış in Çember between 2017 and 2019 and Cüneyt in Masumlar Apartmanı between 2020 and 2021, and in 2021-2022 he portrayed Tuğrul Bey in Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu. In 2023 he joined the cast of Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi as Raşidüddin Sinan, and since 2025 he has been playing Bahadır Bey in the series Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı.
