Uraz Kaygılaroğlu — Biography

Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, whose family is from Balıkesir, was born in Istanbul on 30 June 1987; he trained at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center in high school and graduated in advertising from Istanbul Bilgi University. He began acting in 2008 as Berke in Milyonda Bir, broke through in 2011 as Canburger in Pis Yedili, and also appeared as Feminen Ağa in Harem. After Eski Hikaye (as Ömer) and Yedi Güzel Adam (as poet Adil Erdem Bayazıt), he became a breakout star as Haluk Güney in Baba Candır (2015-2017). He went on to appear in Klavye Delikanlıları, Sefirin Kızı, Üç Kuruş, Sakla Beni, the comedy Erşan Kuneri, and films such as Dönerse Senindir, Çakallarla Dans 5 and Karakomik Filmler; his lead role opposite Merve Dizdar in Eltilerin Savaşı (2020) ranked as Turkish cinema's 23rd most-watched film as of 2023. He also hosted game shows, performs stand-up, and partnered in the Snob Street Food chain in 2017.

He married actress Melis İşiten in June 2014, had daughter Ada in December 2016, and the two divorced in July 2019. In February 2026 he drew wide coverage after MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli phoned to congratulate him on his Yeraltı role as Bozkurt Hanoğlu (Bozo), which also brought sharp criticism from actor Mehmet Aslantuğ.
