Yeşim Büber — Biography

Yeşim Büber was born on August 10, 1977, in Aydın; her mother was a dressmaker and her father a translator. Her family moved first to Istanbul and then to İzmir, and she trained at Can Gürzap's Diyalog acting school. She debuted on screen in 1996 in the series Bu Sevda Bitmez, starring Mahsun Kırmızıgül and Ebru Destan; after taking the title role in the series Zeynep in 1998, she gained her real recognition the same year playing Sedef in Aynalı Tahir alongside Alişan, Kayra Şenocak and Saruhan Hünel.

Her role in the 2003 film İnşaat brought her the Best Supporting Actress award at the 9th Sadri Alışık Awards; she went on to play Ezo in Kaybolan Yıllar (2006), reprised Nazife in Ömer Vargı's İnşaat 2 (2014), and played Melek in Siyah İnci (2017). She married actor Kâmil Güler in 2001 and divorced a year later, then married cinematographer Mehmet Aksın in 2006; the couple gave up their home to live on a boat, sailed on a year-long world tour, and had twins, Nehir and Can Yunus, in 2013. After living for a time at Okluk Bay in Muğla, the family later settled at Fenerbahçe Marina in Istanbul for work reasons.
